Is He Alive? Prove it.

This weekend on Sunday, Christians will gather all over the world to celebrate the greatest event in human history. The resurrection of Jesus Christ.

This simply means that we do not worship a dead God. He’s alive. We have a living hope.

Among other things, this means that God is actively involved in our lives. When we pray, he hears us. When we sing, he hears us. He’s doing things right now, in your life and in mine.

So, I’m looking for proof. I’m looking for stories from your life that demonstrate that Jesus did not reamain dead in that cold, damp tomb 2,000 years ago. I want to hear testimonies of what God has done and is doing in your life right now.

Is He alive? Prove it in the comments below.

    I’ll get the ball rolling…

A story I was just remembering the other day is from Christmas of this year. Our finances were pretty tight, and I had told the kids that we needed to pray and ask God for a little extra for Christmas presents. I explained that we didn’t have much extra and that if God didn’t make a way, they could not expect the same as last year.

Well, of course, after hearing that the kids were highly motivated to pray… We would pray each night for a specific amount, but Kaitlyn would pray for double what the rest of us were praying for.

After a couple weeks of this, God had amazingly provided what Kaitlyn was praying for and all of it was money from sources outside our normal streams of income.

I was blown away at how God honored my children’s prayers so specifically.

I’m traveling home from a missions trip overseas and I “miss” my trans-Atlantic flight by 15 minutes…and get delayed in the Amsterdam airport for 20 hours in the midst of a three day trip that just became a four day trip. I’ve had examples before, though, of God’s oversight and provision as I travel, and so I don’t stress. I find some interesting reading material on Africa, get reconnected via internet earlier than I would have done AND…realize later I have been kept safe from the tornadoes that whirled through my destination city exactly at the time of my originally scheduled arrival. Coincidence? I don’t think so!

Recently, I had my eyes checked after three years. My doctor had asked me to due to diabetes. To the doctor’s amazement and mine, my eyesight was 20/20! I had been restricted to glasses on my driver’s license for 12 years, but noticed recently that everything looked blury. Thank you, Jesus, for your healing!

  4. I made it through the day yesterday. Not that it was a bad day. It was a normal day. But the fact that I survived a normal day is an absolute miracle and proves to me that Jesus is with me.

Sanity. Breath in my lungs. Promise after promise in His word. Hope to believe in it. Buds on a branch after a long winter.

It’s most often the simple things that remind me Jesus lives, that He dwells in me, that He loves me, and that life is His gift to me.

I started the week finding out that my Dad needed to have heart surgery. I ended the week finding out that they discovered Leukemia cells in Dad’s blood work. I’ve been praying and believing for months that God would heal my Dad. So, where’s God in all this? He’s the peace that came after the initial shock and He’s the one who whispered to my trembling heart, “You are not without hope. I am in control. I’ll be with you all the way.” That peace and hope can only come from Jesus.

After having serious anxiety my whole life, God is healing me. I used to have break downs when my kiddies would get sick and God has totally moved in my life. He has helped me to not only be able to handle some situations by myself but also to not be freaking out in a debilitating way. God is awesome.

  7. The God is alive because millions of people believe in it. That’s called metaphysics.
