Those same people most often have no idea what comes after that. Many who have some theory on what comes next don't base it in any real or imagined facts. They simply 'think' that 'this or that' is next. Even people that believe that 'nothing' is next don't base it in any real or perceived facts. Jesus believed in a heaven and a hell. At the very least one should look at this person 'Jesus' for themselves and determine: • Is this person Jesus really who he said he was? • Is this person Jesus nuts? • Is this person Jesus a liar? If he is who he said he was, then he is a credible source to verify hell as a real place. If he is not who he said he was then you can write off his opinion on any subject including hell. You owe it to yourself to look into it seriously. We'll spend a lot more time in eternity, or nothing if that's what you believe, than the life we are living now.
