I found this (ironically via @nathanrice on Twitter) and laughed out loud.  Enjoy, and if you’re a Twitter user like me don’t take yourself too seriously…  ;-)

That's really how I feel abt twitter – too much information! However, all the great minds continually remind me how revolutionary it is and so, suspending my own doubts, I have to think they're probably right. Twitter does seem to drown us in the minutatae but maybe all those meaningless, unconnected details will add up to something grand.

That's an interesting post, for sure. I actually wrote about this very thing recently. http://www.bencotten.net/2009/04/14/self-gratifyi... I think what's happening is we are seeing the same backlash that happened against blogging a few years ago when blogging became so popular. Everyone was blogging about the stupid things their cats did, or their opinion about dish detergents. Things leveled out after a little while and think everyone can agree that blogging is here to stay and is a valuable medium.
I think Titter is the same way. I think it is becoming a valuable tool for communication and connection. People are starting to figure that out and the "cat blogging" will start to get drowned out by the "real" stuff that's happening out there.
After all… Oprah and Andy Stanley are on Twitter now. Doesn't that make us legit? ;-)
Actually, when I saw Weird Al Yancovik was on Twitter I was SOLD.
