Update on Life
// November 28th, 2007 // Family Life

There are times I come across blogs where they detail every part of their lives and I tend to get bored reading them, so if this is boring…sorry in advance :).
We got back from Frisco, NC (Outer Banks) on Sunday. We had such a wonderful time. The house was right in front of the Frisco Pier facing the ocean. There were eight bedrooms, two living rooms (one of which had pool and air hockey tables), a hot tub (that didn’t end up working) and lots of decks and such. It was so great to have my entire family in one place. I cant remember the last time we all were together (in-laws and kids and all).
We had fun playing (we learned my sister Amber is some air hockey wiz kid), the boys went fishing, we went on lots of walks on the beach and we had funning getting competitive playing endless card games, Boggle and Scrabble. It was good to have down time with no agenda. My Uncle Bob who is a fisherman, made a dinner of fresh fish and shrimp. It was SO delicious. Mom of course had so much food it was ridiculous, but it all managed to get gone. My niece that is Eliana’s age was very cute and they had a blast playing. There were very few arguments which is amazing for two year olds! They had fun running in circles around the house, snuggling under the covers watching movies and playing tea. It was fun to see them playing. I am hoping we will do it again. The picture on the post is of my immediate family on the porch at the beach.
As far as the house goes….we have gotten an offer, but it isn’t finalized yet. It is a contingency offer (meaning the lady has to sell her house first) which means we will have to put it on the MLS sheet as contingent. Some agents don’t mess with those houses so it may mean that it will slow the showings even more. So…we are only willing to go down in price and negotiations so far. She hasn’t been willing to meet us in the middle yet, so as of right now we are at a stand still. Our agent thinks that we will know something within a day or two. We are not willing to go down anymore and our agent doesn’t think we should, so if she won’t come up then we won’t accept the offer.
We probably wouldn’t be quite so stubborn if it wasn’t a contingent offer, but it isn’t worth going down considering there isn’t a clear closing date, etc. So, we will keep you posted. Please pray that God will make the way clear and will provide the right buyer. We are really enjoying being a part of KCC. We love the people and the area….we just need to get there!!!
Everyone have a wonderful week!

Thanks for the update Heather! Your family is awesome…I was just noticing everyone has the same hair color (that has hair, anyway…) :)
