RE:Greek Released

RE:Greek LogoGuess what? The Bible wasn’t written in English. I know that’s disappointing news to the King James only folks, but it is what it is. Being able to look at the original language as you are studying scripture is very helpful. Difficult passages are clarified and you get a much more nuanced understanding of what you are reading.

Resurgence has released a new project that I am excited about. RE:Greek is an online Greek study tool. It pretty powerful. You can dig into the original languages in your Bible study now without having to purchase a huge greek concordance. Not to mention this is much more portable!

The coolest thing is that it’s totally free. I discovered a few minor glitches on a couple searches but for the most part it was pain free. I suggest watching the short tutorial first if you have never used a tool like this.

This is a very useful tool that I recommend everyone make regular use of. Having a tool like this so readily available (and at no cost) is something that our predecessors would have given their right arm for. (It’s also nice to see the internet used for something other than porn, spam and multiplayer gaming…)

Take advantage of the times in which you live!
