Weekend Thoughts

// November 2nd, 2007 // Random Thoughts, Video

It was a slow week here in terms of posting. I missed Monday completely. I’ve been heads-down with some web projects this week. I hope you had a great week.

Here’s to a great weekend…

  • My Google PageRank jumped from 2 to 4 early this week. SWEEEEET!! I’m almost a somebody! Not only that, but we’ve noticed a significant increase in search engine traffic as well.
  • It’s fun to read blogs when they first start out. Two friends of mine started blogs this week. One is a friend from when I lived in Boone, NC. I had lost track of him until recently reconnecting at another blog. Meet “ded” at Spirit in the Wild Wood. Also, a girl from the church has been toying with the idea of blogging for a while and just didn’t know how to start. I convinced her to get going with a little help. She’s doing a masterful job! Meet Sabrina In the Arms of Jesus. She has a lot to say.

  • Tim Keller has written a new book. It looks to be pretty interesting. It’s on my short list of books to read.
  • Here are some cool photos of homes from around the world with amazing views. Jealous?
  • While changing my son’s diaper this morning and gagging, I had a thought. Maybe you can help me with this. Why did God invent poo? I don’t get it. He could have figured out a way for us not to create any waste. Why not, right? Instead, I have to deal with the stuff all day. I think this may be my first question when I get to heaven.
  • I found this video on youtube of a guy doing an excellent (and right-spirited) critique of one of Dr. Fredrick K.C. Price’s sermons. He did a great job.
  • Here’s a very funny fake newscast about NASCAR. I don’t get the whole racing thing. Maybe one of you can explain it to me.

  1. How do you check your page rank?

  2. Ben Cotten says:

    There are several websites that allow you to check. This one is as good as any:
