Weekend Thoughts
// November 2nd, 2007 // Random Thoughts, Video
It was a slow week here in terms of posting. I missed Monday completely. I’ve been heads-down with some web projects this week. I hope you had a great week.
Here’s to a great weekend…
- My Google PageRank jumped from 2 to 4 early this week. SWEEEEET!! I’m almost a somebody! Not only that, but we’ve noticed a significant increase in search engine traffic as well.
- It’s fun to read blogs when they first start out. Two friends of mine started blogs this week. One is a friend from when I lived in Boone, NC. I had lost track of him until recently reconnecting at another blog. Meet “ded” at Spirit in the Wild Wood. Also, a girl from the church has been toying with the idea of blogging for a while and just didn’t know how to start. I convinced her to get going with a little help. She’s doing a masterful job! Meet Sabrina In the Arms of Jesus. She has a lot to say.
- Tim Keller has written a new book. It looks to be pretty interesting. It’s on my short list of books to read.
- Here are some cool photos of homes from around the world with amazing views. Jealous?
- While changing my son’s diaper this morning and gagging, I had a thought. Maybe you can help me with this. Why did God invent poo? I don’t get it. He could have figured out a way for us not to create any waste. Why not, right? Instead, I have to deal with the stuff all day. I think this may be my first question when I get to heaven.
- I found this video on youtube of a guy doing an excellent (and right-spirited) critique of one of Dr. Fredrick K.C. Price’s sermons. He did a great job.
- Here’s a very funny fake newscast about NASCAR. I don’t get the whole racing thing. Maybe one of you can explain it to me.

How do you check your page rank?
There are several websites that allow you to check. This one is as good as any:

I added a little chiclet to my sidebar from here:
