Weekend Thoughts

We had an interesting week this week. All of us have been sick with this cold that’s going around. It’s bad when you’re sick, even worse when Momma’s sick…

Here are some thoughts to kick of the weekend and a video.

• You MUST check out this wingnut that jumped out of a plane without a parachute. On purpose.
• The new Radiohead album, In Rainbows, has been pre-released. You can download and name your own price. That’s right. Even $0.00, if you like. I’m listening now and so far it’s good stuff. Here’s more information about the album and some videos.
• I’ve finally “discovered” the Nintendo Wii. I spent the night in K’ville with my friend Vic who has recently acquired a Wii. That thing ROCKS! I know, I know. I’m a little late on that revelation. Still. It’s really cool. A totally different experience. I’m actually sore. Is that pitiful?
• KCC had a Mac G4 donated. I’ve been a PC man all my life. It’s all I knew. Now my world has been invaded by this sleek and user-friendly temptress dressed in shiny clear plastic and plasma. I can feel myself being slowly seduced to the other side. Pray for me.
• A lot of churches are doing something called “Pub Theology“. I think it’s a great idea for a missional Bible study.
• Here’s a video from a segment on a Shop@Home channel. The guy is trying to sell us on the safety of one of those folding ladders. Just watch what happens.
