Thinking Blogger Award
// July 15th, 2007 // Humor, Site News
It’s lonely at the top.
I’ve been awarded the “Thinking Blogger” award over at Real Life. I suppose as awards go, this is the one to get. Certainly much better than the “Bigot Blogger”, “Idiot Blogger”, or the ever illusive “Naked Blogger” award. I’ve never gotten the “Blogger Who Wishes he Hadn’t Said That” award, but I probably should have. I’ve certainly been nominated.
What about the “I Got Rich Blogging” award? How come I didn’t get that one? Or what about the “I Write About Nonsense and Still Get 2,000 Visitors a Day” award? Not even an honorable mention. I’m pretty sure my wife would give me the “If You Embarrass Me Again, I’ll Kick You in the Shins” award. And she hardly ever reads my blog. Too busy cleaning up after me because I’m too busy blogging. Maybe I should blog about that…
At any rate, I’m supposed to pass the award along. This way no one gets a big head. Sort of a Separation of Powers idea.
When I hear “Thinking Blogger” Nathan Rice is the first guy that pops into my head. Nathan writes on a variety of topics from science to theology. He manages to stick to what he believes and not alienate anyone at the same time. We could all learn from him. He has a list of favorite posts in his sidebar. Check them all out. Great stuff.
I warn you, though. You may have to think while reading. A drawback, yes, but you’ll muddle through.
Congrats on the award, Nathan. Don’t forget the little people.
Thanks for the award and kind words, Sarah.
