What Are You Willing To Do?
// May 7th, 2007 // Christian Living, Video
I spoke at Kernersville Community Church this weekend about taking up a posture of readiness and willingness to do whatever God asks of us. I find that so often we pray and ask God to give us this great destiny, and then sit and wait for the big day when the glory cloud comes to our door, the heavens open, and James Earle Jones speaks to us saying, “Rise, you are the Chosen One. Go forth into your great destiny.”
All the while, God sends opportunity after opportunity our way to serve and prove ourselves faithful with the small things (Matt. 25:21). We completely miss the opportunity right in front of us in the WalMart check out line because we are too busy reading Charisma magazine and listening to Jerry Falwell’s podcast on our new iPod.
Then the glory cloud never comes. The multitudes stay at home. We get mad at God.

Thanks, Ben…
Ben,
I actually pass by KCC (assuming it’s the same KCC around the Winston-Salem area) when my girlfriend and I go to visit her parents :-) We visited First Christian Church last time we were up that way. Her sister and brother-in-law are members at Kerwin Baptist too.
Small world :-)

So small it gives me the willies sometimes. Very cool.
