The Real Mary Poppins

Growing up, my parents would go on a date every Wednesday night. On those nights they would get us a babysitter. I remember there was a long period where one of the babysitters would bring the movie “Mary Poppins” with her. She would force us to watch it politely while she did something on her own. So for what I recall as a very very long time, me and my 2 brothers were forced to watch this movie every week. Personally, I would have preferred eating beets.

To this day, the mere mention of the possibility of watching this “classic” film invokes violent negative reactions from all three of us. I haven’t watched it since that time. My memories of the movie are very close to what you will see in this video.
